Kate Cvancara

Kate Cvancara is an analyst for American Philanthropic and works closely with general consultants in their client engagements.

Prior to joining American Philanthropic, Kate worked as a research assistant for three public policy think tanks in DC, a national nonprofit law firm, and her alma mater’s politics department. Kate grew passionate about nonprofit development during her early career as an EMT, surgical assistant, and writer after she witnessed the needs that only mediating institutions would meet.

Kate graduated from George Fox University in biology, political science, the Great Books Honors Program, and earned the postgraduate John Jay Institute fellowship. She enjoys writing science fiction, performing violin, and hiking through the Cascades that surround her home in Portland, Oregon.
