Matthew Smith

Matt Smith is based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining American Philanthropic, Matt worked as the Development Director for a nonprofit servicing low-income, at-risk youth in Boston. In addition, Matt previously worked as the Regional Development Director at the Nevada Policy Research Institute, where he was responsible for growing the scope of the organization’s fundraising efforts throughout southern Nevada. Matt brings practical knowledge of direct mail, donor research, database management, strategic planning, state policy issues, messaging, and grant writing.

Matt holds a B.A. in Political Science from Baylor University and an M.A. (TS) in Religion and Society from Princeton Theological Seminary.
