Janna Rowan, a nonprofit chairwoman, is biking from Michigan to Ohio to raise funds for military personnel and their families.

"When Janna Rowan bought her first bike in 2012 at the age of 39, she didn't expect that cycling would eventually become her primary passion in life.

"'I just wanted to do something new," she said.
