Catholic Charities announces new president, Dominican sister Donna Markham, first female head of the organization since its founding 105 years ago.

"Catholic Charities USA has appointed the first woman to lead the church-run social services organization in its 105-year history, announcing Monday that Sister Donna Markham has been selected for the post after a nationwide search. A clinical psychologist and 10-year Catholic Charities trustee, Sister Markham currently serves as president of the Behavioral Health Institute for Mercy Health and is the former prioress of the Michigan-based Adrian Dominican Congregation." -- the Chronicle of Philanthropy
