Not everyone is using Atlas of Giving's 2013 stats, but Florida is happy to: Report shows the Sunshine State's giving outpaced national average.

"Charitable giving jumped 15.8 percent in Florida in 2013, outpacing the 13.3 percent national increase in charitable giving reported by the Atlas of Giving. Florida had one of the largest percentage increases in the United States in charitable giving, lagging only New York, where giving was up 28.4 percent over 2012, and Pennsylvania, where giving increased 15.9 percent." -- Margie Manning, the Tampa Bay Business Journal
