Financial problems force South Dakota CARES to close after 74 years of helping disabled; nonprofit was founded in 1939 to help polio victims.

"After nearly 74 years of helping families cope with disabilities, financial difficulties are shutting down the nonprofit South Dakota CARES, originally known as the South Dakota Society for Crippled Children.
