University of Texas raised $1.2 billion this year--which is shockingly not an all-time record--with the Austin campus in the lead.
"The University of Texas System's 15 academic and health institutions raised more than $1.2 billion in philanthropy during fiscal year 2013, the UT System announced Tuesday. The year's worth of fundraising is the second-highest in the system's history but set a new record specifically for cash gifts, raking in more than $820 million, according to a UT news release." -- Jennifer Lloyd, the San Antonio Express-News
