In Troy, OH, volunteers staffed Mumford and Sons concert so a portion of proceeds could go to charity; they raised $37,000 for 60 local nonprofits.

"The Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in Troy was a big hit, drawing tens of thousands of visitors during the multi-day event. But the event was only a success because of the contributions of nearly 1,700 volunteers who worked at the festival, officials said. Volunteers helped set up the concert and provided security and clean up after the show was over. They also helped work the parking lots, showers, campgrounds, vending areas, box offices. They distributed wrist-bands, checked IDs and helped with first aid. In recognition of these contributions, Troy Main Street, Inc is donating more than $37,000 to about 60 local nonprofit organizations." -- WHIOtv.com
