Nonprofit West Virginia Community Action Partnerships received $2 million from Veterans Affairs to help homeless vets in their state.

"Homelessness is a problem affecting many of West Virginia's veterans. One organization helping those in need is happy to hear it will receive $2 million in federal funding. . . . The nonprofit group will put the money towards helping homeless veterans transition into long-term housing. In addition, funding will help with outreach efforts, improve case management and aid veterans who are trying to collect benefits." -- Jared Pelletier, WDTV.com
