Whitney Athayde

As a Managing Consultant for AmPhil, Whitney Athayde helps clients develop and implement donor fundraising strategies, emphasizing consistent outreach, diverse revenue sources, and meaningful donor connections.

Prior to joining AmPhil, Whitney was a freelance fundraising consultant specializing in grant writing and direct mail. She has also been the Director of Development for Independent Women’s Forum and a popular journal, where she managed all fundraising and events. She got her start fundraising as an undergraduate, calling alumna to ask for donations and raising $250,000 over three years.

Whitney is a graduate of the University of Virginia and has a Masters in Public Policy from George Mason University. She lives on a hobby farm in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband, two sons, two daughters, two dogs, two cats, nine goats, and (at the time of this writing) 39 chickens.
